HFC '95 falls just short of Regional ChampionshipHFC '95 had a great run at the Region III Championships in Baton Rouge, ending up as Regional FINALISTS. After winning the State Cup, the girls went to Regionals and proudly represented Oklahoma. HFC '95 won their Regionals bracket, beating Alabama 2-0, overcoming Arkansas 4-1 and finishing in a 2-2 draw with Brandon Flames from Florida. Then, HFC defeated the National League Champions from Dallas Texans, 2-1 in the quarterfinals. In the semis, HFC pulled off a dramatic comeback to beat the National Runner-Up CASL team from North Carolina, 4-3. The HFC girls were then upended 1-0 by Sting from North Texas in a tough and well-played Championship game. These girls gave great effort and played as a team throughout the games. We congratulate HFC '95 for this outstanding performance and we thank our coaches for all of their work.
HURRICANE '95-2010 STATE CHAMPIONS!!Baton Rouge here we come! HFC '95 won the Oklahoma State Championship for the 4th straight year. Congratulations girls for this achievement and good luck at Regionals. Give maximum effort at your practices, heal up and let's make a run at a Regional Championship again this year. We admire all that you have accomplished and how hard you all work to achieve your goals. This is truly a team effort!
HFC '95 Finishes 3rd in National League!Congratulations to HFC 95 Rhein for wrapping up a strong second weekend in the US Youth Soccer National League, U15 Girls Division. During the three-game weekend held March 18-21 in Las Vegas, Nev., HFC 95 Rhein defeated San Diego Surf, 1-0, followed by a 3-1 win over So Cal Blues. On the final day, HFC 95 Rhein tied VSA Heat (Virginia), 2-2, finishing third in the national league with an overall record of 4-2-1 -- in a field of eight teams selected by US Youth Soccer as “best in the nation.” By finishing in the top half of the field, HFC 95 Rhein automatically qualifies to participate in the 2010-2011 US Youth Soccer National League. Way to go, Girls! We are very proud of you.
Great Weekend Winning the Hurricane Cup! HFC '95 won the Cup by beating Arkansas Comets FC '94 3-0, Arkansas Rush Nike '94 8-0, NWA Lightning SC 3-0 and TSC '95W 3-1. Congratulations girls.
CONGRATULATIONS girls on your Championship at the Challenger Sports Invitational in Kansas City! Good competition, good fields and good soccer. HFC '95 defeated KCFC Force, KC Select Viati, and LFS Elite before beating Chicago Fire Jrs 3-1 in the Finals.
