BIO:

John Rhein is one of Hurricane's longest serving coaches, having been with the club since 1997.  While with Hurricane he has been the coach for the 87 boys, 85 girls, 86 girls, 90 girls, 91 girls, and 95 girls.  His current teams are the HFC 97 Rhein u-14u girls and the HFC 96 Rhein u-15 girls.  He also serves as co-coach to the HFC 93 girls with David Bolding.  Rhein also currently serves as the HFC Director of Coaching.

While with Hurricane, Rhein's teams have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success. Among some of his team's achievements have been:

In addition to the many team achievements, Rhein's players have been well prepared for the next level. Of the 4 teams in which he has coached to graduation (HFC 85, 86, 90, and 91), 50 players have had the opportunity to play college soccer, with 20 of them playing at the NCAA DI level.
  
Prior to joining Hurricane, Rhein was a founding member of the West Side Alliance Club.  He also served as the boys head coach for Owasso High School from 2000-2007.  He is the most successful coach in Owasso program history, having guided the Rams to the playoffs 7 out of 8 years, including a share of a district title in 2007.

Rhein holds a USSF National "C" license and an NSCAA Advance Regional Diploma.  He played college soccer at Northeastern State University, before completing his education at Oklahoma State University where he earned a B.S. in Secondary Education.  Rhein currently teaches history at Owasso High School and he and his wife Debbie have twin daughters, Emelie and Kennedie.
